Dumbo Is A ‘Tear Jerker’

The new movie version of the classic Disney film Dumbo may be a little darker than its source material.  The film is a remake of the 1941 hit classic, centered on the titular character and his comically large ears. However, Dumbo apparently deviates from the original.

“They both deal with topics and issues that children and families and grown-ups face in the world every day – loss, grief, guilt, shame, all those things. But at the same time, it’s done in the context of making it accessible to children, and not too much to bear,” actor Colin Farrell said.

Lori Loughlin Dropped From TV After College Scandal

Hallmark said it had dropped actress Lori Loughlin from future projects on the channel. This comes after police charged Loughlin for taking part in a college admissions scandal. “We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels” involving the actress, the company said in a statement.

In addition, Loughlin’s daughter Olivia lost her Sephora sponsorship over the scandal. Loughlin and her husband paid almost $500k in bribes to get Olivia and her sister Isabella into the University of Southern California.

Donny and Marie Osmond Move From Las Vegas

It’s the end of an era. Donny and Marie Osmond announced the end of their 11-year show filmed in Las Vegas. “It’s been rumored that we’re bringing Donny & Marie to an end here in Las Vegas,” Donny told Good Morning, America.  “And we’re here to say it’s official.” The final performance is scheduled for November 16th.

Justin Carter Dead At 35

Country music singer Justin Carter died from an accidental gunshot at the age of 35. He was filming a music video at the time. Carter’s mother said that the gun was in his pocket when it went off and shot him in the corner of the eye. Carter was just about to embark on a ten state tour.

Blizzard Announces Free To Play WoW Weekend

For the first time in the history of the game, Blizzard is allowing old WoW players with inactive accounts to return to the game for free. However, it may not be what players are expecting. Old players can install the Battle.Net application, update or install WoW, and can access three hours of gameplay in the game’s latest expansion. In addition, you can do the same for 12 different characters. The new expansion added a ton of content, including level-scaling, new playable races, and new zones.
