According to the Hindu mythology, Devi Durga is the embodiment

Deshapriya Park Durgotsav Samity created history in last two consecutive years by means of an innovative theme.
In 2015, they came up with 88 feet tall & 80 feet wide fiberglass idol to mesmerize visitors. People flooded to this puja pandal in huge scale and eventually, police decided to close the public access to avoid a stampede.
In 2016, Artist Mintu Pal presented Maa Durga with 1000 hands to kill 100 demons.
This year, the theme of Deshapriya Park puja 2017 is Wat Rong Khun White Temple of Thailand & the making is in full swing now. Like previous years we have a lot of expectations from this puja organizers.

Badamtala Ashar Sangha:
In their 79th year of puja celebration, Badamtala Ashar Sangha community center near Kalighat Metro station is getting ready in full fledge to welcome you into a piece of America.
This year they are trying to depict, how Bengalis in abroad worship Durga puja, said Mr. Mrinmay Bhattacharya, Joint Secretary of the Badamtala Ashar Sangha Puja committee. This puja committee was awarded Creative Excellence Award by Asian Paints in 2010 for Pandal, lighting, and Idol.

Ekdalia Evergreen
This year, Ekdalia Evergreen Durga Puja Club of Ballygunge is celebrating their 74th year of Durga Puja. Honorable Panchayat and Rural Development Minister of West Bengal Shri Subrata Mukherjee is the secretary of this puja committee. During previous years, by their artistic decoration, they avidly replicated most famous temples of India and even abroad.
In 2011, they depicted a German village and in 2015, they came up with a theme of prehistoric earth full of dinosaurs. They have a rich heritage of preserving the age-old form of traditional Durga Protima(idol).
This year it is replicating a famous temple of South India.

Suruchi Sangha Durga Puja 2017
A record number of crowd flood into this pandal every year to get mesmerized by the excellent blending of tradition and culture along with the cheers of the modern age. This year Mamata Banerjee, the Honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal, inaugurated the pandal of Suruchi Sangha. Their theme for this year is West Bengal, “Bengal is my mother” as said by Jeet Ganguly.
This year, they are stepping into the 64th year of puja celebration. It is really a puja involving superstars and megastars. In 2003 and 2009, Suruchi sangha puja committee awarded for best-decorated pandal for their astonishing pandal and interior decoration.
