Paris Police Detain Pete Doherty

Paris police detained British rockstar Pete Doherty for buying drugs on Friday. Doherty, 40, rose to fame as a singer for the Libertines. He then gained a bad boy public image over drugs and run-ins with the police. “Pete Doherty was placed in custody overnight for the acquisition of narcotic products,” the Paris prosecutor’s office said. They didn’t elaborate further.

French media reported that police detained Doherty during a drug deal in Pigalle. Late-night bars fill this area. However, Paris prosecutors didn’t confirm the report. In addition, Doherty’s representative declined to comment. Pete Doherty has been arrested for drug offenses on many occasions.

John Legend And Kelly Clarkson Release Updated “Baby It’s Cold Outside”

John Legend and Kelly Clarkson dropped their new version of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” on Friday. The two worked together to release an updated version, featuring new lyrics to replace old lyrics. In recent years, the song has become more and more controversial over its lyrics.

For example, the original track includes the verse, “The neighbors might think (Baby it’s bad out there) / Say what’s in this drink (No cabs to be had out there) / I wish I knew how (Your eyes are like starlight now) / To break this spell (I’ll take your hat, your hair looks swell)”. However, Legend and Clarkson’s version changes those lyrics in favor of: “What will my friends think? (It’s your body and your choice) / If I have one more drink? (It’s your body and your choice) / Ooh you really know how (Your eyes are like starlight now) / To cast a spell (One look at you and then I fell).”

Almost immediately, fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions. Some loved the changes and the song. Others, however, said that the song didn’t deserve the changes, saying that the song was either “garbage” or “perfect as it is”.
